Gerard Schwarz (cornet and euphonium) - Turn of the Century Cornet Favorites, features Gerard Schwarz on euphonium playing the rare Mephisto Masque for Opheclide and orchestra. This is perhaps the only recording of this piece, written by 19th-century black composer Edmond Dede. There is also a nice selection of cornet solos (many of which, like the Hungarian Melodies, have become euphonium standards).
