  1. ITEC 2008 Report #1 - Exhibits

I just returned from the 2008 International Tuba-Euphonium Conference - what an event! I don't think I have ever seen an ITEC that had so many people, so many interesting exhibits, and so many participants. It was great fun to play, do a master class, write a recital review, shop/browse, meet new people, and chat with old friends.Perhaps you have considered attending a conference, or perhaps you are a tuba or euphonium player who has not considered going to one of these events. One Clear Call is having great success and has been shortlisted as a finalist in the 2008 ITEA Roger Bobo Award for Excellence in Recording along with Portuguese tubist Sergio Carrolino! Classic FM magazine gave it a 4 star review, saying ...
  5. Tests/Reviews of the Alliance Mouthpiece Line

The British web site 4barsrest has just done a review of the whole line of the new Alliance mouthpieces (cornet through tuba). These have already received some good anecdotal reviews on various forums. They look beautiful but are a little pricey in the USA at least. But even an expensive mouthpiece is a small investment compared to a horn!
