Euphoniumist, Karl Humble, passed away this morning from complications due to Parkinson's Disease. Karl was a fine player and a real gentleman, and was euphoniumist with the US Marine Band. After retirement he taught in New Mexico and did free-lance repair work. I heard of several euphoniumists who had Karl go through their horn, and the results were reported as amazing. He would align everything and do custom leadpipe work on older Bessons especially.
