I recently attended a tour concert by The United States Air Force Band. It was a great experience for me and the rest of the audience.
I was reminded once again what a professional operation this is! As you walk into the venue you pass a table with various souvenirs as well as a few A.F. folks you can talk to. Lots of pamphlets for those who have questions about the mission of the USAF or are interested in a career.

At a recent tour concert by The United States Air Force Band there was a great little moment after the event. The band members were packing up and most instruments were off the stage already. The harp was still there, and the harpist returned to the stage after he had changed clothes in preparation to pack up the somewhat unwieldy instrument.

This video is another addition from The USCG Band's Russian tour in 1989. It is from the October Hall concert with the Coast Guard Band in combination with The Leningrad Military District Band. Each band played some numbers alone and there were several combined numbers. This selection is by both bands, performing John Philip Sousa's Hands Across the Sea (appropriate, huh?)

Here is a video of a historic concert by The United States Coast Guard Band in combination with the Leningrad Military District Band. The event was part of the USCG Band's tour of the Soviet Union in 1989, making the CG Band the first American military band to tour the USSR. One of the highlights was this concert in October Hall.
